Twenty-two, competitive, and closing. Colin turns cold callers into repeat customers for a living — in his first two months on the phones he won the company’s Sales Strategy Competition, then backed it up with a top-4 finish in the Phone Strategy Competition that earned him a trip to Skip Barber Racing School.
Colin’s résumé doesn’t read like a straight line to a sales floor — and that’s the point. He’s spent the last four years earning trust fast in every high-pressure, customer-facing seat he’s sat in: training new hires as a Crew Trainer at McDonald’s, upselling preventive maintenance as a Customer Service Advisor at Jiffy Lube, walking customers through service pricing as a Certified Technician at Valvoline. Every one of those jobs was, underneath it, a sales job.
Now he’s doing it on the phones. As an Inbound Sales Representative at Big Brand Tire & Service, Colin fields high-volume calls, quotes tires, books appointments, and converts callers into customers — and he did it well enough, fast enough, to win the company’s Sales Strategy Competition within his first two months on the job.
He also spent a semester as a staff writer for The Channels, Santa Barbara City College’s student newspaper, covering campus news and sports — the kind of experience that shows up in how clearly and quickly he communicates with a stranger on the phone. Between the phones and the counter, he’s grown comfortable working in multilingual, multicultural environments — and has found ways to communicate with everyone who calls.
Recognized company-wide for top performance in sales technique and customer conversion strategy — earned within his first two months in the role. Ask him to walk you through how he closes a call.
Placed 4th company-wide in Big Brand Tire & Service’s Phone Strategy Competition — a finish that earned him a spot on an all-expenses-paid trip to Skip Barber Racing School in Sonoma, CA (Sept 7–10, 2026), sponsored by BFGoodrich & Michelin.
Colin is actively exploring any role built around sales — hospitality, inside sales, outside sales, business development, or remote. If you’re hiring — or just want to see how he closes — reach out directly.
